WHAT IS THE LOOKING DIFFERENCE ON LED SCREEN?
Optimal viewing distance is the distance at which optimal picture quality or viewing experience is maintained.
When you move closer to the LED screen and beyond the minimum viewing distance, the displayed image will be pixelated. This is the point where you will notice the individual pixels on the LED display .
WHY WE TALK ABOUT VISION DISPLAYS ON LED DISPLAYS?
The LED display is made up of points of light, which can be several millimeters apart, what we call pixel pitch. The technology of LED screens allows us to choose between different pixel pitches. That is why the viewing distance has been taken as a reference to choose the correct Pitch Pixel for the monitor we want to buy.
IMPORTANCE:
The viewing distance not only determines the pixel pitch we need, as it must also match the total size of the screen. The smaller the screen's pixel resolution, the more LEDs we have to add per square meter to get a good resolution. In contrast, with a larger screen, we can use a larger pixel pitch.
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN VISION DISTANCE AND SCREEN SIZE
To establish this distance, it is essential to consider the space where the screen will be brought up, while also taking into account 2 main characteristics:
-
Screen size
Not necessarily the exact size but the approximate value of the screen we want. This is important because a large advertising screen will impact and attract people's eyes more than a small screen.
-
Viewing distance to LED screen
For example, an LED display in a shop window, located on the first road of a large roundabout with a lot of traffic, but with a small area for pedestrians, is not suitable. From that, it can be seen that the screen must have a viewing distance of 6 to 8 meters, because the person sitting on the vehicle is the most important.
Once we have this information, we can know the exact pixel pitch based on the following diagram:
